  23. The manual for FPSClock is labeled "Manual.html".  The manual is 
  24. in web format and can be read on any web browser such as Netscape's 
  25. Navigator or Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

  28. Installing

  31. In order for you to install an Infinity Softworks' application, the 
  32. desktop software that comes with your Palm connected organizer must 
  33. be installed.á We also recommend reading your Palm connected organizer 
  34. manual.á Look for a section on installing third-party applications or on 
  35. the Install Tool.
  36.  
  37. For this archive, we need to install "clck250d.prc".
  38.  
  39. There are two items you need to install any third-party application.á The
  40. first is the Palm Install Tool; the second is the Palm application(s) you 
  41. want to install.á The Palm Install Tool is named "instapp.exe" or 
  42. "Install Tool" and the Palm application can end with the extension 
  43. ".prc" or ".pdb" (.prc is the application, .pdb is any associated 
  44. databases).

  46. First, lets double-click on each of the Palm applications to see if it 
  47. will open the Install Tool.á If the Install Tool did open, click "Done" 
  48. or "Exit" and HotSync.á The application will appear in your application's 
  49. screen on your Palm connected organizer after the HotSync process is 
  50. complete.

  52. If the application does not open and instead shows you a dialog box 
  53. asking which application should open this program, cancel. á There are 
  54. three different options for locating the Install Tool.
  55.  
  56. Option #1: Look in the Start Menu (or Apple Menu).
  57.  
  58. Under "Programs" in the Start menu, look for a folder entitled 
  59. "Palm Desktop", "PalmPilot Desktop", or "Pilot Desktop" and select the 
  60. Install Tool. 
  61.  
  62. Option #2: Look in the Palm Desktop application.
  63.  
  64. Run the Palm Desktop application on your computer.á In the application 
  65. is a list of views (Date, Address, To Do, Memo, etc.) along the left-hand 
  66. column.á If one is labeled "Install", click this icon and it will open 
  67. the Install Tool.

  69. Option #3: Search for it on your hard drive.
  70.  
  71. 1. On your Start menu, put the cursor over "Find" and then select 
  72. "Files or Folders"á(for Macintosh users, select Find from the Apple menu).
  73. 2. In the name field, type "instapp" (without the quotes).á 
  74. 3. Make sure the "Look In" category is your hard drive and the 
  75. "Include subfolders" checkbox is checked (Windows only).
  76. 4. Select the "Find Now" button.

  78. If the "instapp" application appears in the list, we have found the 
  79. application.á Double-click on it to run the Palm Install Tool.á

  81. If the application does not appear, try another hard drive or contact 
  82. Palm's technical support about installing or using the Install Tool.á

  86. Once you are in the Install Tool, you need to locate the applications 
  87. you want to install on your Palm connected organizer.

  89. 1. Select the "Browse" or "Add" button.
  90. 2. Locate the file you want to install.
  91. 3. Select the file and click "Open" or "OK".
  92. 4. Exit the Install Tool.

  94. The next time you HotSync, the application will be installed onto your 
  95. handheld.á Look in the Application's screen on your Palm connected 
  96. organizer to see if it loaded successfully.
